The provision of healthcare in China is developing well, but the doctor–patient relationship is very tense. Although doctors and patients are supposed to manage disease cooperatively, they often disagree or conflict with each other.1
There are many reasons for this doctor–patient tension. The current economic transition has resulted in wide disparity between the rich and the poor.
